Avon Cosmetics (M) Sdn Bhd will rely on its quality, value-for-money products and "women power" to stay ahead of the competition, Avon Malaysia's president Mansoor Wan Abdullah said.
"Competition is everywhere and the only way to succeed depends on how you make yourself stronger and different from the rest. In Avon, that difference is our kuasa wanita (women power).
Mansoor said Avon Malaysia posted a 15% increase in sales from RM250 million in 2005 to RM287 million in 2006.
He was speaking at a media briefing in Putrajaya at the end of January on the recent Avon's Top 3 Dealers Awards and Top 3 Franchisees Awards in Malaysia.
Avon Malaysia has 370,000 dealers and 176 Avon Beauty Boutiques nationwide. About 65% of its revenue comes from retail and direct selling and 35% from non-cosmetics.
"I am happy and proud to announce that we are the current market leader for colour makeup and fragrance products," Mansoor said.
