DEAR Datuk Ahmad Ismail,

I am a Chinese squatter born in this country and a pre-Merdeka Chinese who fought for this nation, was wounded twice, went through various battles and ambushes many years before Merdeka together with my brave Malay, Chinese and Indian mata mata and was given citizenship as late as early 1953. I had continued voluntarily to serve loyally with dedication regardless of all risks because I believed and was committed to nation and was a target for assassination by bomb, grenade, bullet and poison and even through cover motor accident in later years. Am I still an unwelcome squatter?
