After five years of research, Tohtonku has unveiled a new breakthrough which incorporates bird’s nest in the new Nutox Oxyfusion range, Nutox Oxyfusion BNest Collagen™, where the main ingredient is extracted from 100% top-grade bird’s nest to counter the skin ageing phenomenon in every woman.

For centuries, bird’s nest has been touted as a tonic for health and beauty. At the launch event recently, Liu shared some tips on how to sustain youthfulness while coping with a hectic career.

What are some things you would advice women to do to have good skin besides using skincare?

I’d say exercise more. For general health, our body works better and it does contribute in other areas, which include good skin, blood circulation and even a healthier mind. Always express what you are feeling inside rather than keeping it as pent-up anger. I fully encourage this as I notice many kids in Hongkong are suffering from not being able to express themselves as they don’t have proper social lifestyles. Instead they are caught up with homework and extra-curricular classes.

How were you introduced to Nutox Oxyfusion?

It was before I went to Canada for a recent shoot that they handed me the products and I thought, why not bring them along. I felt like it was ‘fate’ that brought me to these product as I needed something which would suit the weather there (dry and cold), without causing breakouts or skin irritation. When I brought them back to Hongkong, although the weather was humid and hot, the products were able to adapt to my skin. Usually when I use moisturisers on my skin, it tends to feel sticky and looks blotchy, but the Nutox Oxyfusion range felt light  as though I had nothing on my face.

What are some of the “bizarre” things you’ve done with skincare products?

Using them on other parts of the body such as elbow and knee joints. Those parts have fine lines too, so why not try them there ... it may work.  During one of the advertisement shoots, the makeup artist and I even experimented with applying eye serum on laugh lines and the neck area.
