VIENNA, or Wien to the locals, is the city with the best quality of life in the world for 2010 according to Mercer’s Quality of Living Survey of 221 cities. The rating is based on 31 criteria with safety, health, culture, environment, recreation and public transport as the more important ones. For comparison, the highest ranked city in Asia is Singapore at 28th position.
